Michael Jackson

You might not see yourself as particularly special in any way. But you possess something no one else has. In Success is Within You: Creating Your Own Destiny, author Michael W. Jackson reveals that by discovering and reconnecting with your “true” inner self, you won’t be a victim of circumstances. Utilizing the creative power of your mind, you can transform yourself and manifest your world as you envision it. Each chapter concludes with creative exercises encouraging you to implement the action steps necessary to create the change you want to see. Jackson recommends applying these again and again until they form habits you practice regularly. They’ll work in helping you achieve a particular goal, and they’ll generate a transformation in you as a person, allowing you to achieve any goal you set your mind to. Now in its fifth edition, Success is Within You offers inspiration and practical tools for creating transformational change in your life. It shows that the greatest and highest manifestation of you dwells within, and therein is the source of the success you hope to achieve.

THANK GOD FOR YOU

If I said thank God for you, I am sure it would make you feel very special.  It would suggest that you have benefited me in some way.  The question is should my gratitude be conditional?  Would I express the same gratitude if you had done nothing for me or even harmed me in some way?  Trust me, I would not be singing your praises if you had hurt me.  I believe most people would have the same sentiment, but maybe we can look at this in a different way.

This new perspective requires us to look at each other through a different lens.  The universe is unbounded in the breadth of its creativity, yet absurdly we as humans tend to view this same universe through a lens of limitation.  When we look at each other what do we see?  The lens of limitation shows skin color, race, sexual orientation, political affiliation, job description or deeds done.  The lens of limitation is a viewpoint of judgment.  Sadly, not only is this viewpoint of the world outside, we also turn this view inward and judge ourselves in the same way.  I am not smart.  I am too fat.  I am homeless.  I am not good enough.  I will never get out of debt.  When Jesus said, let the one of you without sin, cast the first stone.  He shatters the label attached to the woman as being an adulteress.  He shatters all labels, all judgment and the lens of limitation.  Have you ever seen a white person or a black person?  Even genetically, this is not possible so why do we keep telling these lies?

LOVE changes all of this.   LOVE is like going to the optometrist, getting a new pair of lenses and seeing the world clear and sharp.  Sometimes the change is so dramatic, it is like seeing this way for the first time.  Now when you look at the people around you with your new “love” lenses what do you see?  You see a person much like yourself.  You see someone capable of love, happiness, excitement and even tears.  This is you and this is me.  When we see each other through the lens of LOVE, we will find the deepest part of humanity is spiritual in nature.  That spiritual nature in all of humanity is where divinity resides.  It is the GOD in you and the GOD in all of us.  When we choose our new lenses, we are looking through the eyes of LOVE.  LOVE breaks and shatters all limitations and allows the unlimited potential of humanity to express itself.  Whoever you may consider great in history: Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Einstein or Newton, you are in great company.  For in the creation of the person that is YOU, the mold has been broken and no replicates will follow for all of eternity.  YOU are the gift to all of humanity and I thank GOD for YOU.

A BABY NEVER QUITS

We would consider it a terrible tragedy if a baby took its first step, fell down softly, gave up and never learned to walk for the rest of its life.  Where would the human species be if this was the fate of all of humanity?  We take it for granted that babies fall down after taking a step or two because they pick themselves up and repeat the process until they gain the coordination to walk.  Their persistence is never in doubt.  Yet something happens to us when we become adults.  We allow the fear of failure and procrastination to push our dreams into oblivion.  If you are sufficiently healthy, there is still time for you to accomplish your dream.  Dust off your dream and move it from the background closer to the forefront of your life.  There may be genuine obstacles hindering your progress.  You may lack money, the education or other resources necessary to accomplish your dream.  Yet something magical begins to happen when you utilize the power of your mind.  The universe begins to shift your behalf.  The people you need show up and other necessary resources begin to materialize.  If you can formulate a picture in your imagination of your dream or goal, decide you want it and believe in yourself, you can achieve it.  YOU GOT THIS!!

Dan MacIntosh -- HOLLYWOOD BOOK REVIEWS

Such work is rooted in a familiar prosperity gospel message, though. The book positions God as powerful and omnipresent. Its core advice is to work to clarify one’s intentions before God, in order to allow God to manifest one’s desires. Its examples are as varied as personal enrichment (like learning to sing like Barbra Streisand) and fiscal wealth—two among the “infinite possibilities” available.
